These tote bags are great for about what ever you can think of. I know lots of knitters around North America using them for projects. Most are made of wool so some care needs to be taken. If you’re a husband reading this, buy it…buy it right now, she’ll love it.

The rug for this one-of-a-kind tote was handwoven by Navajo weaver, Jennie Peterson. Great black, red and grey designs set into a soft brown background. The colored band is one of Jennies signatures. It's my way of identifying her rugs. I do believe it is a family signature because she has a sister who weaves too and has the same band. This bag is woven in a semi-tight pattern and has a finer tight yarn.
Heavy black leather straps, sewn on.
Totes are made without using scissors...stitching only. This preserves the integrity of the weaver's work, while transforming the rug into a bag that is beautiful, practical and unique.
Dimensions: 16" wide x 15" tall x 5". This bag is on the large side. Should hold all you can fit into it. It being wool though, doesn't allow it to carry an excess of weight. Just be mindful of that.

This amazing piece of art was hand woven by a Navajo weaver. Woven on a loom by traditions handed down from generation to generation. This is an art form that is slowly fading away from our Navajo people.
